As the higher education landscape evolves in response to growing demands for change and improvement, researchers try to identify the factors that drive transformation in the field. The conference aims to provide a forum for high-quality research on innovation in higher education, with a focus on active learning and innovative teaching methodologies (such as flipped learning, blended learning, team-based or collaborative learning, experiments, etc.). The event offers the research community the opportunity to share and discuss their work in a research-inspiring atmosphere, fostering long-term collaborative relationships.

The conference will be held in a hybrid format, allowing for both in-person and online presentations.

The keynote talk at the conference will be delivered by Dr. Kristin Børte, Senior Researcher at the University of Bergen and affiliated researcher at the Centre for the Science of Learning & Technology (SLATE). Her research focuses on student active learning, learning design and the intersection of technology and education, among others. Dr. Børte also serves on the Editorial Board of the journal Active Learning in Higher Education.

The organizers of the conference will select a subset of the presented papers for publication in a Special Issue of the Revista d’Innovació i Recerca en Educació, scheduled for release in June-July 2026.
